  Great pairing/gift of bks, Mojo: the Greeks & Jews; Athens & Jerusalem. An undeniable alchemy which produced advanced civilisation. The linear versus cyclical conception of hx is a key point, in addition to dignified personhood. Although the impoverished ancient view of the person as purposeless material unit seems to be gaining ground in parts of the west.
  In any event, racists are always gonna be racist, it would seem.

  Well, quite apart from all of the cultural contributions, to help you, you could begin with something more practical.
  Jonas Salk developed the Polio vaccine.
  And yes, he made a gift of it - he gave it away.
  In the US alone, in the 2 yrs before the vaccine was widely available, the average number of polio cases was more than 45,000. By 1962, that number had dropped to 910. Salk never patented the vaccine or earned any money from his discovery, preferring it be distributed as widely as possible.

  Einstein’s significant work is known to most of us; however, the beautiful actress, Hedy Lamarr, was also an inventor who pioneered the technology that would form the basis for today’s WiFi, GPS, & Bluetooth communication systems. No mean feat there.

  As an educated person, you’ve doubtless heard of Maimonides, Spinoza, Mendelssohn, Kafka, Bellow, Roth, etc. but there were also those like Karl Landsteiner, the father of blood types; Albert Ballin, the shipping industry magnate who changed trans-Atlantic journeys & migration patterns; Martin Buber, the philosopher best known for his philosophy of dialogue, a form of existentialism centered on the distinction betw the I–Thou relationship and the I–It relationship; etc. etc.

  Of the 954 individual Nobel Prize recipients between 1901 & 2022, at least 212 have been Jews or people with at least one Jewish parent, representing 22% of all recipients. The high number of Jewish Nobel laureates is significant in light of the fact that Jews comprise only 0.2% of the world’s population, meaning their share of winners is 100 times more than their proportion of the world’s population

  Their survival as a distinct group, in spite of all those who wished to destroy them; & their flourishing & astonishingly disproportionate contribution to civilisation - these achievements are nothing short of remarkable.
