COMBO Audiobook with R.C Bray amazing narration AND new extra bonus content from Wil Wheaton re-recording!
BONUS MATERIAL: This edition includes the following extras read by Wil Wheaton:
“Diary of an AssCan” - Mark Watney, new astronaut
“I Made It!” - A happy letter to Mom
“Car Trouble” - A somewhat sad letter to Mom
“The Earthling” - A postscript. *Available for the first time in this recording
Wil Wheaton, who has lent his voice to sci-fi blockbusters like Ready Player One and Redshirts, breathes new life (and plenty of sarcasm) into the iconic character of Mark Watney, making this edition a must-listen for both longtime fans of The Martian and new listeners alike.
♦ Completely re-performed by R.C. Bray to match the 2014 Random House release! includes Andy Weir’s newly re-imagined ending. “One of the best thrillers I’ve read in a long time. It feels so real it could almost be nonfiction, and yet it has the narrative drive and power of a rocket launch. This is Apollo 13 times ten.” -Douglas Preston, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Impact and Blasphemy “A book I just couldn’t put down! It has the very rare combination of a good, original story, interestingly real characters and fascinating technical accuracy…reads like MacGyver meets Mysterious Island. -Astronaut Chris Hadfield, Commander of the International Space Station and author of An Astronaut’s Guide to Life on Earth “The best book I’ve read in ages. Clear your schedule before you crack the seal. This story will take your breath away faster than a hull breech. Smart, funny, and whiteknuckle intense, The Martian is everything you want from a novel.” -Hugh Howey, New York Times bestselling author of Wool “The Martian kicked my ass! Weir has crafted a relentlessly entertaining and inventive survival thriller, a MacGyver trappedon Mars tale that feels just as real and harrowing as the true story of Apollo 13.” -Ernest Cline, New York Times bestselling author of Ready Player One “Gripping…shapes up like Defoe’s Robinson Crusoe as written by someone brighter.” -Larry Niven, multiple Hugo and Nebula Award-winning author of the Ringworld series and Lucifer’s Hammer “The tension simply never lets up, from the first page to the last, and at no point does the believability falter for even a second. You can’t shake the feeling that this could all really happen.” -Patrick Lee, New York Times bestselling author of The Breach and Ghost Country “Strong, resilient.”

Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he’s sure he’ll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him & forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded & completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he’s alive—& even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won’t have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment or plain-old “human error” are much more likely to kill him first. But Mark isn’t ready to give up yet. Drawing on his ingenuity, his engineering skills—& a relentless, dogged refusal to quit—he steadfastly confronts one seemingly insurmountable obstacle after the next. Will his resourcefulness be enough to overcome the impossible odds against him?

@bhaliiah:
Is this the same as your previous torrent, with additional chapters?
if so. please delete the first one.
Also, please cut the exposition from the title.
“(All Sources! Read by R.C. Bray with Bonus by Wil Wheaton) FULLY CHAPTERIZED”
–All m4b are chapterised. You don’t need to put that in the title.
–The narrators are already listed separately.
–whatever “all sources” means, explain it in the description, not the book title.
Please consider joining the forum for discussion and support.
Thanks for your uploads.

@bhaliiah:
I have now checked, this file is identical to the previous, with the addition of 25 minutes of extra material.
So the previous one is redundant, please delete it.
Thanks.

*Not all m4b are necessarily chapterized (while admittedly most are), so I think it warrants a mention if a book is. Personally, I appreciate it, since I will always favour a single-file chapterized m4b over any other format.

This sounds great but why 32 bitrate? I cant tolerate trying to listen to that low sounds aweful. Too bad

@audiowyrm: The whole point of M4B is chapters. 99% of M4B are chapterised. If you want to mention it in the description, OK, but NOT IN THE TITLE. It is about as necessary as putting “AUDIOBOOK” in the title.
@jmasterton Quality of this is OK, but not optimal.
32kbp AAC can be good, if you use VBR, so complex parts get more bits, up to 60 or so, quiet parts close to zero. This is CBR, so lower quality for the same size. Can’t think of any reason to use CBR.
Anyway, we have other uploads of the Bray readings here in better quality and you can find the extras read by Wheaton from
