After harrowing adventure and near-death, Prince Jalan Kendeth and the Viking Snorri ver Snagason find themselves in possession of Loki’s Key, an artefact capable of opening any door, and sought by the most dangerous beings in the Broken Empire—including The Dead King. Man, this is an audiobook. i.e. 1 person speaking in mono. not an effin’ orchestra.. you only need 32/48 kpbs …. you make it 4 times as big as it needs be, but it does not appear as 4 times the quality.. you need to adjust the sample frequency not the bitrate .PLEASE in future make it the correct size

I’m not complaining (or downloading this) but I think everyone should know that part of the way compression works is by removing the high and low frequencies. The human voice is a very narrow band in the center of the frequencies we can hear. In this case, bits are being used to record…nothing.
I researched all this. If you choose to do the same be sure the information you’re reading is discussing “voice” compression and not music.
Audible.com: Audible’s highest bit rate is 64kbps mono. Called “CD Quality”. I prefer 32kbs, called “MP3 Quality” but more that 64 is a waste.

You can’t put these Mp3s on an iphone, possibly any smartphone. WTF?! I appreciate it but I get audio books for when I’m on the go, not when I am sitting on a PC. Is there anyway I can get these to work?
