“Why another Expanse torrent?” I hear the Mods asking, so let me explain why this torrent isn’t just another duplicate.

Jefferson Mays has recorded the first three books twice and both versions are available from Audible UK. Most, if not all the torrents here are the first versions that came out.

I can’t say for sure for the others, but the rerecording of the first book, ‘Leviathan Wakes’ has substantially better sound quality than the original, which frankly sounded poor. The first three novels are all the new versions.

I made adjustments to the audio for every book except ‘Persepolis Rising’. All the other books had been through a rather aggressive high-pass filter which left them sounding a bit thin and reedy. I found them fatiguing to listen to for more than a short while & these are long books.

I have boosted the bass for all the effected books, just enough to add some warmth (I’m not trying to turn Jefferson Mays into Barry White).

I have also used AI to remove the annoying music from seven of the books & applied a little noise reduction to two of them.

All books with labelled chapters.

‘Persepolis Rising’ is a direct download 128kbps AAC M4B

Everything else was from the new USAC encodes. After processing I saved as FDK VBR5 AAC M4B for maximum quality without ballooning the file size - bitrates average around 135kbps
