Just pretend she is a man. It’s what I do when my girl wants alone time. It is a pain in the rear at times. But that’s the point.

Speaking for experience. I couldn’t relate with female protagonists either, but it barely matters when you became engrossed as the story progresses. Besides Tess Irondele is an awesome narrator.
I haven’t listen to this story yet btw, so I can’t say how good it is.

Well I have listened to (most of) it and I do not understand how it got published and I definitively do not understand how Tess Irondale ended up narrating it. Btw Tess has a tendency to overdo her gruff loud male voice alot in this reading.
On the whole the book reads as the mediocre work of a 16 year old student writing a book for English class, as in hello this is my secondery language.

Sorry but I just couldn’t get into it. The description says that they have tech trees but all they do is mention they exist. The set up was all wrong and the action well let’s just say I don’t finish and that’s saying something since I always finish books even if I don’t like them. I had 2 hrs left but I just couldn’t.
