Every time we eat, we have the power to radically transform the world we live in.
Our choices can help alleviate the most pressing issues we face today: the climate crisis, infectious and chronic diseases, human exploitation and, of course, non-human exploitation. Undeniably, these issues can be uncomfortable to learn about, but the benefits of doing so cannot be overstated. It is quite literally a matter of life and death.
Through exploring the major ways that our current system of animal farming affects the world around us, as well as the cultural and psychological factors that drive our behaviours, This Is Vegan Propaganda answers the pressing question, is there a better way?
Whether you are a vegan already or curious to learn more, this book will show you the other side of the story that has been hidden for far too long. Based on years of research and conversations with slaughterhouse workers and farmers, to animal rights philosophers, environmentalists and everyday consumers, vegan educator and public speaker Ed Winters will give you the knowledge to understand the true scale and enormity of the issues at stake.
This Is Vegan Propaganda is the empowering and groundbreaking book on veganism that everyone, vegan and sceptic alike, needs to hear.

Posted again? If God did not want us to eat Animals, He would not have made them out of meat! Beef and eggs are the two most nutrient-dense and healthy food we can eat, and so I will. My blood work is perfect, health is perfect. I have an immune system of titanium. I got covid twice and barely noticed it because I am not a vegan. Today, I will grill steaks and be happy. At one time, between 30-60 million bison roamed the plains of the U.S. Until they were murdered. Beef is totally sustainable and poses no threat to this planet. On the other hand, plant agriculture in its current form is destroying this planet. I am 78 years old. Bring it on! Thanks for posting this a third time. No need.

You believe in gods, callmebill? No wonder your comments are so stupid. You religos need to keep your weirdo beliefs and “lifestyle” to yourselves.

daenigma100, this is the second time you post this (and other books), and it is the third time this book was posted in total.
What was wrong with the other two torrents? How is this torrent different?
January 16th, 2022
Reposted yet again for PETA (People Eating Tasty Animals)
January 16th, 2022
@callmebill the science seems to suggest that vegans and people who have a fish based diet are actually less likely to get severely ill from covid. You having it twice and not feeling too bad was DESPITE your diet, not because of it.
As for the rest of your points, you’re spouting utter bollocks I’m afraid.

Cognitive dissonance is interesting. You’ve for people here who’ll boast about eating loads of meat, then those same people would pitch a fit if you so much as suggest they’d harm a dog.
January 16th, 2022
The funny thing is that the way the members of the vegan cult are posting here is exactly the opposite of the way the author suggests that they should be communicating.
Also apart from that, so far the book seems to be an exercise in the pitch tone and pace system that you find in sales and apologetics.
I would go so far as to say plenty of words but bugger all content.

@callmebill
I have an immune system of “titanium. I got covid twice”.
Do you see what you said there?
By your own definition, your immune system is a joke.
January 16th, 2022
What’s this now? Having a healthy, robust, functioning immune system hardly confers absolute immunity to an exceptionally contagious virus. That would be a false fact - a bogus expectation & a spurious assumption. A healthy immune system battles infections. Recovery is the test.

Well, meat is anyways a biohazard (ebola, salmonella, parasitic nematodes, prion diseases…).
January 16th, 2022
But doesn’t it beef up your beefiness?
I like my biohazard well done.
January 16th, 2022
@Archimendes you’re mistaking being a vegan with not being a fragile little flower who feels so attacked by the mere concept of veganism that I feel the need to brag about eating three cows a day just to ‘trigger’ people who are making some sort of effort to reduce animals suffering.

I’d note that I’ve eaten dog in China and in Cambodia and it was perfectly edible.
Jack’s, once again, giving his opinion on things he is not qualified to comment on in the slightest.
But then he’s a card-carrying member of the facist organization Antifa which thinks it’s against fascism. You can safely ignore anything out of this “I found it in on Wikipedia so I won’t read the book” clown’s mouth.
Beef and eggs are, indeed, the most nutrient-rich foods on Earth.
And it is entirely possible to live a long, healthy life eating only meat.
This is not possible for vegans. They will die if you don’t synthesize B12 for them. It doesn’t get much unnatural than a diet that kills but let them keep fantasizing otherwise.

@GordonCoon of course you’ve ate dog. Along with your close friends the Bin Ladens. While you were working a super secret medical job turning frogs gay. With your right-wing buddy George Orwell, and your Chinese children who work in a sweat-shop.
Or did I touch a nerve by pointing out how sensitive you become when veganism is mentioned? I was wondering how long it would be before one of you rocket scientists admitted eating dog, just to ‘own the libs’ lol
Yeah, there are aspects of it we could have an interesting conversation about regarding diet, ethics, and a host of other issues. But we wont have that conversation, because you’re incapable of comprehending anything which requires even an ounce of nuance.

@callmebill God made animals such as dogs out of meat so you could eat them? Does that mean god made humans out of meat because he wants us to be eaten too? God would not make sentient creatures with the sole purpose of being tools.
The WHO have classified red meat as a probable carcinogen based on 1200 studies, so it is anything but healthy. That would be the equivalent of saying that cigarettes are good for your throat (a previous claim by tobacco industries).
And meat is definitely not sustainable, at least not in the way we are do it (cultured meat can definitely be sustainable). As you have mentioned, 30 - 60 million bison roamed, yet disappeared. Meaning they could not sustain the requirements for meat (and how long ago was that - add billions more people, and the billions that are yet to be born and added to our population). One acre of land can produce only 250 pounds of meat, while the same acre can produce 40,000 pounds of potatoes. That is what can be defined as sustainable. Switching to plant based meats is an excellent option. It is healthier and more sustainable.

@GordonCoon That depends whether you include things such as phytochemicals, antioxidants, sterols/stanols and etc into the equation. Given that they have shown many benefits (e.g. anti inflammatory, prevent cancer development and induce cancer necroptosis (suicide), improve the immune system via activation of natural killer cells and deregulation of NF-kB and etc), they should be in my opinion. And if they are, then animal products go down the list, while foods such as beans take over.
B12 does not need to be synthesized if you are willing to sacrifice sanitation (which will increase your risk for, e.g. waterborn disease). Personally, I don’t think such sacrifices should be made, as there are no downsides to taking a simple supplement such as b12. Even farm animals these days are given b12 supplements. So most b12 intake is still a supplement (except it is filtered through somebody elses body in this case). And this system of intake is not flawless. Many people that subscribe to carnism are still b12 deficient (especially in older age). Supplementing it is recommended for most people. Switching out animals products also significantly benefits in ways such as global health, personal health, environmental and ethical too.

Bison were intentionally - & drastically - reduced in order to control the native, nomadic population. Settlers killing for sport was promoted; natives slaughtering for food was reprimanded.
January 17th, 2022
@caesar963 That sounds terrible. But the point still stands.
January 17th, 2022
@Jack_Milad
No, I am saying this is just a poorly written, content free book.
You know in the forward where future ex vegan ed talks about not being a jerk, followed by book full of being a jerk who breeds logical fallacies?
January 17th, 2022
It was human agency operating for different purposes. For the native, nomadic pop it was sustainable upon stilts.
January 17th, 2022
@caesar963 Yes. But that followed billions more people, all with a demand for meat. And the billions more to follow. The deforestation is already completely out of control. To further meet this demand will require complete destruction of our environment. The solutions are not only very suitable that fulfill all the taste requirements, but necessary. Those who are most able to change, us, the people in first world countries, need to take the lead. We, even the average citizens, cannot allow greed to be our motive.
January 17th, 2022
Of course, that’s all fairly basic stuff - not that its elementary nature means that its any more likely to occur. However, on the bison specifically, the destruction of up to 60 million bison was not in support of agricultural objectives, but of narrow, political motives.
It had been a perfectly sustainable system. It was a vastly practical herd, and did not merely “disappear” I must say.
January 17th, 2022
@caesar963 Yes, I don’t doubt that for one second.
And I totally agree, that was a sustainable system.
January 17th, 2022
Bless, poor Jack. He’s just not very bright.
My ex-wife’s parents own a dog farm. You see people do farm dogs in China.
You’d be amazed to learn that out here in Asia, dog is a fairly common menu item.
But hey, you keep on licking them windows and believing that veganism is the way forward.
The good news is that if you follow that plan, your sperm will be too weak to escape your testes and the world will be free of your dilution of the gene pool in a single generation.
January 17th, 2022
Well done on entirely missing the point again Gordon. I said that people like you will brag about the animals they eat because they’re so fragile that the mere mention of veganism gets them so uptight that they need to ‘trigger’ somebody. And that’s exactly what you proceeded to do, bragging about eating dog like it’s some kind of accomplishment. Well done you.
Yes, I’m aware that eating dog meat is common in some Asian countries. But I’m calling BS on your claim that your “ex-wife’s parents own a dog farm”. Firstly, the commercial sale and slaughter of dogs was banned in China last year, so your present usage of ‘own’ is a bit suspect to begin with. Then there’s the fact that a four year investigation into the dog meat industry in China didn’t find evidence of a single ‘farm’. So hell, take that story to the tabloids because you could shed some light on a topic that a lot of people don’t even think exists.
Unless you’re boasting that you married into a family who drug and kidnap peoples pets? Which again, weird flex.
Or there’s the possibility that this is just like your other ridiculous claims. You’re lying to try make it seem like you might have any relevant experience on a topic. Again. It’s sad really.
As for me, I’m not vegan. But I’m quite happy to listen to arguments in favour of it without spazzing out and feeling the need to boast about eating a zebra or whatever.
So with that in mind, I’d ask that you stop fantasizing about my sperm and testes. Even if I did swing in that direction, I’m pretty sure you’re not my type.

Some very fragile carnivores in here…
I’m not vegan but I am not a scared little snowflake who is threatened by them.
