Unfortunately, I gave up on this audiobook due to the quality, or lack thereof, of the production.
Not the fault up the uploader at all!
It’s a dual narration (or trio, rather) and it’s very clear that the 3 voice actors recorded in separate spaces. One voice is tinny, one has too much bass, and the third is crackly. The volumes are quite different from each other. When the voices switch back and forth, the differences are so jarring that I had to stop.
For multiple voices like this, I’m disappointed that the three voice actors weren’t recorded in the same booth or studio. The recordings simply don’t match or flow together, and there didn’t seem to be any post-production work to level the sounds to each other. Definitely the wrong production to have the voice actors record in their own homes, which I understand is the norm now.
It’s a shame since the story was a lot of fun. I’m going to be purchasing the physical books to continue!
