cheers, I’m very much looking forward to Killers when it finally comes out.
Not normally a tie in novel guy but something about these and this game makes me think I’ll give them a go.

Thanks, I oddly liked the game but didn’t notice the books.
Feedback for future torrents: constant bitrate 320kbps and 224kbps mp3 is a waste of space and bandwidth. The two png cover images are similar at 2.2MB and 2.3MB, when covers are added to the files it adds another 100+MB, pushing the total over 2GB. I transcoded this to 32kbps Opus and 500×500 jpeg (80kB, 103kB), applied cover art to the files, kept the 2 png’s as bonus material, and the total is 246.7MB, but an equivalent quality 48kbps aac-lc vbr m4b would weigh in around 300MB and 64kbps vbr mp3 maybe near 500MB. Opus is a newer modern codec (latest v1.3 release last december), aac is late 90’s tech, mp3 is early 90’s tech, higher bitrate is only compensating for old codec inefficiency, its all lossy compression, but no one does audiobooks in flac or pcm wav or takes that notion seriously. Opus is widely supported, its heavily used in streaming, even when given the option to “save an mp3″ it maybe transferred in opus then transcoded on the fly by clients or browser plugins, hardware decoding isn’t common because software decoding is efficient enough its not considered worth dedicating the chip space (not true for mpeg). I haven’t gotten into splicing files together yet, chapter data from files is not handled automatically by ffmpeg (cli), I don’t have a good Linux (Fedora) tool to do it automatically, and I’m too lazy to do it manually with injecting text files (too many audiobooks). …sorry, ramble when bored, but thanks for the audiobook, I’ll seed it a while.

@PaganPyro Thanks for the heads up about audio and optimization, I wasn’t aware. I just ripped these directly from the files I had downloaded… oh well. At least this audiobook is out here as a torrent now
